Characteristics/Adaptations
  • Females lag eggs in foam nests attached to branches overhanging the water. They create the nests by beating a frothy secretion into foam with their hind legs. After the eggs hatch, they drop into the water where they begin to mature.

  • The bornean eared frog has adapted to have feet that are great for climbing straight up trees, clinging to the underside of leaves or even hanging from a tree branch—by one toe.
