Owls have both eyes in the front of their face which enhances their depth perception.

Owls can see distances very well and in low light conditions.

They have three eyelids. The first closes when the owl blinks and the second closes when the owl sleeps. The third eyelid is a thin layer of tissue that closes diagonally across the eye. This membrane cleans, moistens, and protects the surface of the eyes.

Eagle Owls are nocturnal.
